For a York business that customers visit, the website should make the practical details easy to find: what is available, when the business opens and how to get in touch. Those details need a simple update plan as well as a good first layout. I’m Hamza Hussain, a software developer based in Sheffield. I design, build and check your site, working with you remotely from the first brief to launch.
Nothing upfront from £29.99 a month, or pay once: one page £199, up to 5 pages £399, business site from £699. All prices include VAT.
An illustrative brief to help you plan. This is a fictional example, rather than a local client project.
Suppose a fictional café in York wants a menu people can read on a phone before visiting. The website could present the current menu as text, keep opening hours close to the contact details and explain how group enquiries are handled. This example concerns website content and navigation. It does not describe a real café client, make a claim about tourism or offer an online ordering system.
Decide who supplies and approves changes. A photograph or PDF can be additional material, but a visitor should not have to zoom into an image to understand the main offer.
Use the café’s verified address, hours and own access information. Holiday changes should have an owner and an update route rather than being treated as permanent opening hours.
Explain the business’s actual route for group visits and dietary questions. Do not invent table availability, allergen assurances or a booking process the café does not operate.
Organise approved items into readable sections. Any prices, dietary labels and descriptions come from the café, with no automatic assumption that a label answers every customer question.
Keep the visit information near the relevant action. A directions link should lead to the café’s actual location, not to Browser Workbench’s service area.
Give visitors the agreed way to ask about a group or another request. If the café uses an external reservation tool, a link or embed can be considered in the scope.
Read the menu on a narrow screen, follow the directions link and compare opening hours with the café’s maintained business information. Agree who checks seasonal and holiday changes before they are published.
Your site should distinguish your base, where you travel to customers and any work you deliver online. Send the actual places you cover, any collection or appointment arrangements and the contact details you want customers to use.
I can help with service pages, clear contact routes and Google Business Profile setup where your business is eligible. A separate town page needs useful detail about your real offering there. Search positions and extra enquiries cannot be promised.
