Plan your websitePrices and timing
How much does a website cost?
Starter builds start at £199 for one page or £399 for up to five pages. Business starts at £699 for up to 8 pages. The final price depends on the pages and features we agree. I confirm a fixed quote before work starts.
Are there any ongoing costs?
Optional Hosted is £19.99 a month, or you can arrange your own hosting. Essential is £29.99 with 10 small updates a month, Standard is £39.99 with 20, and Full is £49.99 with 30 or more as agreed. Each maintenance tier includes hosting; you pay one monthly plan price. Domain registration, renewals, email mailboxes and paid third-party services are separate.
See hosting and ongoing costsHow long will my website take?
A simpler website can be ready within a week, depending on the features, content readiness and how quickly you send feedback. As a guide, allow 10 working days for Starter and 14 for Business once the brief and content are ready. I confirm the timetable with your quote.
How many changes can I request?
Both packages include 2 revision rounds. Each round is one consolidated list of changes within the agreed scope. New pages, features or a change of direction are quoted separately. The included four-week launch aftercare covers small changes to existing text, photos or layout.
Getting started
How do we choose the design?
I research your business and comparable websites, then show you three distinct homepage directions. Each shows the colours, typography, layout, graphics and motion. We refine your choice, agree the words and build the rest of the site around it.
What do you need from me?
Your services, contact details, areas covered, logo and photos. I write the pages with you. Delivery starts once the brief and content are ready.
See the words and photos checklistCan you replace my existing website?
Yes. Send me your current website link and tell me what needs to improve. I review the pages, content and features that need to move, including important existing URLs, before quoting the agreed work. You can keep your domain.

I'm based in Sheffield and work remotely with small businesses across the UK. You deal directly with me on the design, content, build and launch.
Features and search
Can you add bookings, calendars or other custom features?
Yes. Tell me what customers need to do, such as book an appointment, request a quote or find the right service. I scope the feature and any connection to an existing tool in your quote. Bookings, calendars and other custom features are optional extras; paid services may have their own fees.
Try the business feature examplesCan I change the text and photos myself?
An editor can be added to your build. Tell me what you want to update yourself; I scope and quote it as an optional extra.
Is SEO included, and will I rank on Google?
Starter includes page titles and descriptions, clear page headings, xml sitemap. Business also covers service and search-term mapping, Google Search Console setup and relevant business structured data. This helps search engines understand your site. It does not guarantee a position in search results; ongoing SEO is separate.
Will the website work on phones, and what do you test?
Both packages include layouts for phones and computers. Before launch, I check readable content, contrast, keyboard use, links, loading speed and form security. I also test any features and connections included in the agreed build.
Hosting and aftercare
Can I use my own domain and hosting?
Yes. Your existing domain can stay registered to you. You can arrange your own hosting, or choose optional managed hosting. I check the requirements of the agreed site before we choose where to host it.
Who owns the website, and can I move it later?
Your domain, code and hosting stay in accounts you own. At launch, I hand over your website files and account access. You can move the site to another host when you choose.
Read the website handover guideWhat does managed hosting cover, and can I cancel?
Managed hosting starts at £19.99 a month and includes HTTPS, versioned website backups, uptime monitoring and hosting-related technical support. You can cancel anytime; hosting ends at the end of the paid billing period, with file handover. Hosting is quoted for your expected traffic, form submissions and other processing. Higher usage or paid third-party services may need a different plan; any extra cost is agreed before a change.
What support do I get after launch?
I check in a few days after launch. For the first 4 weeks, small changes to your existing text, photos or layout are free with either hosting choice. After that, Essential, Standard and Full include hosting, routine software updates, monthly security/performance checks and their agreed small-update allowance. A small update is a short text change or an image replacement on an existing page. Update allowances are monthly totals and unused updates do not roll over. Full includes at least 30 updates; any larger allowance is agreed in your quote. It is not unlimited. New pages, features, major fixes and other work are quoted separately. Hosted at £19.99/month covers HTTPS, versioned backups, uptime monitoring and hosting support; later content changes are quoted separately.
