Logo design for your business

If you need a logo for your new website or want to replace one you have outgrown, I can help you choose a direction and prepare the files you need to use it.

Choose a direction before refining the files

1.Describe the business

Supply the name, what you do, existing colours and where the logo will be used.

2.Review five concepts

Choose one initial concept as the direction to develop.

3.Refine the selection

Work through up to two rounds of changes to the chosen concept.

4.Receive SVG and PNG

Use the agreed files. Additional versions need to be included in the scope.

A guide to the steps described on this page. Work and any extra features are agreed in the quote.

Your quick checklist

How do I move from a brief to a selected logo and usable files?

Use this to keep your place while reading. Ticking a box does not send or change anything.

Words explained
Concept
An initial design direction to compare.
SVG
A graphic file that can be resized without losing sharp edges.
PNG
An image file suitable for uses such as websites and profiles.

Before you start

Logo design starts at £49, including VAT. It can be added to your website project or discussed on its own.

Five concepts to choose from

Tell me your business name, what you do and where the logo will appear. Share any colours or existing material you want to keep, along with examples that help explain the style you like.

I prepare five initial concepts. You choose one, then we work through up to two rounds of changes to that concept. We agree any work beyond that scope before I begin it.

Files you can use

You receive the agreed logo in SVG and PNG formats. SVG keeps the logo sharp when it is resized. PNG is useful for placing it on your website, documents and social profiles.

Tell me where you expect to use it at the start. A website header, a small profile image and a sign can need different proportions or arrangements. Any additional versions need to be included in the agreed scope.

What the two file types are for

SVG

A graphic that can be resized while keeping its edges sharp.

PNG

An image file for agreed uses such as websites or profiles.

Discuss the versions and arrangements you need before the quote is agreed.

Questions about logo design

Can you use my existing colours?

Yes. Send the colour values if you have them, or the existing material you want me to work from. We can use that as a starting point for the concepts.

Do I have to buy a website too?

You can ask about a logo on its own. Tell me what you need and I will confirm the scope and price before starting.

What if I need a full brand identity?

The logo offer covers the agreed mark and its SVG and PNG files. A full brand identity, photography and video are outside this service. Tell me which other material you need so I can explain what I can help with.
