Website plan terms
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms are between you and Hamza Hussain, a sole trader trading as Browser Workbench. Email [email protected] about anything on this page. In these terms, “Plan Start Date” means the day you approve your preview in writing.
1. What you get
- The agreed number of pages for your plan: 1, up to 5, or up to 8.
- A custom design, with layouts for phones and computers, and help with the wording.
- An enquiry form with spam protection.
- Checks for performance, security, usability and accessibility.
- Basic SEO: page titles and descriptions, clear page headings, a map of your pages for google.
- Hosting with HTTPS, backups and maintenance.
- 2 rounds of design changes. Send each round as one list.
- Reasonable small changes after launch, usually within 5 working days. A small change is a short text change or a swapped photo on an existing page.
New pages, new features and major redesigns are quoted separately.
2. Price and payment
| Plan | Monthly | 12-month total |
|---|---|---|
| One page | £29.99 £10 website + £19.99 hosting | £359.88 |
| Up to 5 pages | £36.99 £17 website + £19.99 hosting | £443.88 |
| Business site (up to 8 pages) | £49.99 £30 website + £19.99 hosting | £599.88 |
All prices include VAT.
- We bill monthly in advance. The payment is taken automatically from your card through Stripe.
- There is no upfront fee. Your plan and its 12-month minimum start on the Plan Start Date. Nothing is due before then.
- If you have not approved the preview within 30 days of the final revision, either of us can end this in writing. Nothing is owed and the preview stays ours.
- After 12 months the plan continues month by month.
- After 24 monthly payments the website is paid for. The price then falls to the hosting price, £19.99 a month.
- Year upfront: pay 12 months for the price of 10.
- Any other price change needs us both to agree in writing.
- Fees are due from the Plan Start Date even if launch waits on you.
- If a payment is 14 days late, we can pause hosting and included work after 7 days’ written notice.
- If you are a business, we can also charge statutory late-payment interest and compensation.
3. Leaving
Hand back
You can hand the plan back within 14 days of the Plan Start Date without giving a reason. We keep the first monthly payment and refund any later plan payments. You pay no more plan fees and the site goes offline.
After that
Monthly fees stay due for the full 12 months, unless you buy the website or end this because we broke the agreement.
Buying the website
You can buy the website at any time, including before launch. The price is the plan’s pay-once price, less the website part of each monthly payment you have made. It is never below £0.
- One page: £199, less £10 for each payment.
- Up to 5 pages: £399, less £17 for each payment.
- Business site (up to 8 pages): £699 or your quoted pay-once price, less £30 for each payment.
Example for up to 5 pages: £399 before your first payment, and £195 after 12 payments.
After you buy the website there are no more plan fees. Hosting is never part of the buy-out. You can keep our hosting for £19.99 a month or move elsewhere.
Ending the plan
- You can end the plan at or after month 12 with 30 days’ written notice. There is no new annual commitment.
- If you leave before the website is paid for, it goes offline and stays ours. Your domain and your content stay yours.
- We can end the plan at or after month 12 with 90 days’ written notice.
- When the plan ends, hosting and included work stop. If the website is paid for, we keep your files available for 30 days.
If you are buying as a consumer
- You can cancel within 14 days of agreeing to the plan, without giving a reason. This is your right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.
- Nothing is paid before you approve the preview, so cancelling before then costs nothing.
- If you ask us to start the plan inside those 14 days and then cancel, you pay only for the service we provided up to then.
- The 14-day hand back after approval is on top of this.
- Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
4. Content and launch
- You give us accurate content and the account access we need. You confirm you have permission to use them.
- We need your written approval before launch.
- We launch within 10 working days of you approving the preview and giving us the content and access. Time spent waiting for you does not count.
- If we miss that for reasons within our control, we waive or refund your first monthly payment. For business customers this is the only compensation for a late launch.
- You are responsible for what the site says about your services, qualifications, prices and results, and for professional and advertising rules. We do not give legal advice.
- If you are a business, you cover us for claims caused by content you supplied.
5. Extra work
These are only included if we agree them separately in writing: a logo (from £49), a domain, email, tools for editing the site yourself, booking or payments, ongoing SEO, and ads or tracking. We agree every extra charge and plan upgrade before the work starts.
6. Ownership and access
- The domain and the content you supply are always yours.
- The website design and files stay ours until you have paid for the website. That is after 24 monthly payments or a buy-out. Hosting is never part of the buy-out.
- Once the website is paid for, we transfer our copyright in the work made for you and give you the files and account access.
- Until then you can use the site while the plan is active.
- Safeguard: if we cannot make your small changes within 14 days of your written request (for example through illness or because we stop trading) and your payments are up to date, the site is treated as paid for. We hand over the files and access, and the price falls to the hosting price.
- Our reusable tools stay ours. You get a permanent licence to use them in your site.
- Third-party assets keep their own licences.
- We may show the site in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.
7. Privacy and care
- We each keep the other’s confidential information secure.
- You are the controller of the enquiry data and you are responsible for your own privacy notice.
- We agree data-processing terms before we handle enquiry data. The form stays off until then.
- Trackers need separate setup with consent controls.
- We use reasonable care and skill.
- We do not promise search positions, traffic, customers or uninterrupted availability.
- Our checks are not a promise that the site meets every law or professional rule.
See our privacy notice for how we use the personal information you give us.
8. Liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything the law does not allow us to limit.
- If you are a business, we are not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss.
- If you are a business, we are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including failures of third-party hosting, domain or email services.
- If you are a business, our total liability is capped at the higher of your plan’s 12-month total and the fees you paid or must pay in the 12 months before the event.
- This does not reduce what you owe us.
9. Problems and law
- Either of us can end this for a serious breach that is not fixed within 14 days of written notice. Not paying is a serious breach.
- If you end this because we broke the agreement, future fees stop and the website is treated as paid for.
- If we end this because you broke the agreement during the minimum, the fees for the rest of the minimum become due, less the costs we save.
- We will try to settle any dispute directly with you first.
- If your signed agreement or written quote says something different, that wins.
- The law of England and Wales applies. If you are a consumer in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also use your local courts.
- Changes to these terms need us both to agree in writing.
