Update the parts of your website that change most
If your menu, prices or services change often, asking someone to update every line can get in the way. I can include editable content in a website, with a content management system chosen around what you need to change. The quote states which content is editable and what the setup includes. An editor is a scoped feature rather than a promise in every website package.
List the changes you actually make
Start with a recent example: a new service, a changed price, a replacement photo or a seasonal menu. That tells us more than asking for a website where everything can be edited. We can agree useful fields and the pages on which they appear.
Some businesses need only occasional text and photo changes. Others need to add entries to a structured list. These are different jobs, and the quote should describe the one you need without charging you for tools you will rarely use.
Decide how publishing should work
Who changes the content?
Agree who needs access and which information they maintain. Account ownership and access are part of the handover, rather than something tied to an unnamed developer.
What can be changed?
Define the text, images and list entries that belong in the editor. Being able to change a price does not necessarily mean being able to rearrange the whole page.
What needs checking?
Try a longer heading, a different photo and an empty optional field. You need to see how realistic edits look on a phone before deciding the editor is ready.
An editor or help with updates
A CMS is not the only way to keep a small site current. Monthly website plans include small text and photo changes; the hosting and updates page explains that arrangement. If you prefer to send changes to me, we can compare that with setting up your own editor.
Existing platforms, account access and any external service charges affect the setup. I check those before quoting. Adding an editor does not by itself include new page designs, unrestricted support or an ongoing software subscription.

Can I edit every part of the design?
The quote defines the editing controls. Content fields and a full page builder are different setups. We agree what you need to change before choosing the approach.
Is a CMS included in the fixed website prices?
Editable content is scoped in the quote. Send the types of changes you need to make, and I will say which setup suits them and what it costs.
Can you add editing to my current website?
I first check how the site is built and what access is available. Some sites can be extended; others may need more substantial changes. No platform is promised without that review.
