Builder website design that shows finished projects and takes quote requests with photos

Builder website design starts at £199 for one page, or £399 for up to 5 pages, and from £699 for up to 8 pages if you want a page for each type of project. A builder’s site has one job: to let a homeowner see work like theirs and send the details you need to price it. Prices include VAT, the quote is fixed before work starts, and you keep your domain and files. I'm Hamza, based in Sheffield, building for builders and building firms across the UK.

One-page site £199, small site £399, business site from £699. All prices include VAT.

Concept of a builder’s phone page. Fictional business.

Projects first, services second

People hiring a builder are about to spend a lot of money. They want to see that you have done this before.

Give each project a short page of its own: what the job was, the size and type of property, roughly how long it took, and a handful of photos from start to finish. Before and after pairs work well because they show the difference you made.

Use only photos you took or have the right to use, and ask the owner before showing anything that identifies their home. Three well-described projects beat thirty thumbnails.

Quote requests with the photos you would ask for anyway

The customer chooses the type of project, then answers a short set of questions: what is changing, which rooms, whether drawings exist and when they hope to start. A photo upload can be offered so you see the space before you phone back.

File limits, secure handling and how long photos are kept are agreed in your quote. Tap-to-call and WhatsApp buttons come with every trades build.

One page per type of project

Searchers use the name of the job, so name your pages after it.

  • Extensions

Single and double storey, what the process looks like and what you need before you can price.

  • Lofts

The types of conversion you offer and the kind of house each suits, in your words.

  • Kitchens and bathrooms

Whether you manage other trades or use your own, and what a typical job covers.

  • Repairs and smaller jobs

A short section, so the phone does not ring with questions you would rather answer on the page.

A good project page answers “could they do mine?”

Accreditations, insurance and guarantees

If you hold a membership such as TrustMark, the site has a place for it. I show a badge after you show me proof that it is current. Insurance and guarantees appear only as you state them, in your wording.

I do not make up a promise on your behalf, such as a completion date or a warranty period. If you do not offer something, the page does not mention it.

What builder website design costs

Hosting with me is optional, from £19.99 a month. With your own hosting there is no monthly fee to me.

A one-page site suits a small firm with a few strong projects. The 5-page site gives each type of project its own page, and the 8-page business site suits a firm with several services and a longer project list. Allow 10 working days for the first two and 14 working days for the business site.

Not included: domain registration and renewal, email mailboxes, paid services from other companies, and extra pages and features, which are quoted first.

What to gather before we start

  • Three to six projects

Photos, a short description and roughly how long each took.

  • Before and after photos

Taken by you, with permission for anything that shows a home.

  • What you build

The jobs you want more of and the ones you turn down.

  • Your area

How far you will travel for a project.

  • Memberships and cover

Proof for any badge, and the exact wording for any insurance or guarantee you want shown.

  • How a job starts

Whether you visit first, and what you charge for a survey or quote, if anything.

Questions builders ask

How much does a builder’s website cost?

£199 for one page, £399 for up to 5 pages, or £699 for up to 8 pages. All prices include VAT. A fixed quote confirms the price before work begins.

How many projects should I show?

Start with three to six that you are proud of and that look like the work you want more of. Each gets a short description. You can add more later as new pages, which are quoted separately.

Can customers send photos with a quote request?

Yes, a photo upload can be offered on the quote form. File limits, secure handling and retention are agreed in your quote, so you know what is stored and for how long.

Can I use Checkatrade or MyBuilder reviews?

I do not add review widgets or show review scores. A plain link to your profile on those sites can sit on the page. Any quote you want shown must come from a real customer who agrees to it.

Do you write planning or building regulations content?

No. I do not explain planning rules or regulations on your site. If you want to mention them, you supply and stand behind the wording.

What if I only want to show a few projects now?

Start with the one-page site and add pages later. Swapping photos on an existing page is a small update, free for 4 weeks after launch.

Get a fixed quote before you commit

Tell me the projects you want more of and the ones you can send photos of. The quote lists the pages, features and total price before you agree to anything. I reply within one working day.

Other trades: Plumbers, Electricians, Roofers, all websites for tradespeople.

Two sites I have built so far are GHZ Accountants and Redpen Jobs: see the work. The demos on this page are fictional concepts.
