The steps in writing
This is a text version of the video. Follow whichever suits you.
- In the Cloudflare dashboard, open Domain Registration, then Register domains.
- Search for the name you want and select Search. If a name is not listed, it is taken.
- Check the spelling letter by letter, then select Purchase on the one you want. You cannot change the name after you buy it.
- Choose how many years under Payment option. Leave auto-renew on so you keep the name.
- Enter your contact details: your real name and full address.
- Double-check before you pay: the domain is spelled right, your name and address are correct and complete, and the email is one you check.
- Add your payment details. If you already have a billing profile, it fills in for you.
- Select Complete purchase. This accepts Cloudflare’s agreements. Registration can take up to 30 seconds.
- Verify your email straight away when Cloudflare asks, or the domain is put on hold.
This can’t be undone
Buying a domain is a final step, so read this before you pay.
| What | What it means |
|---|---|
| Refunds | Domain registrations are non-refundable once the purchase is complete. |
| The name | You cannot change the name after you buy it. |
| Your contact details | If they are inaccurate, the registration can be suspended or cancelled. |
When it’s done, send me the domain name and I’ll connect it.
